UKVI IELTS This category of IELTS exam is not popular among Kenyan Nurses and this has resulted in most of them booking the wrong category of IELTS exam, increasing the costs and time wastage. UKVI IELTS Academic Module is accepted by all Nursing registration bodies in all the six English speaking countries (Most of us wrongly think it is only for the UK) and as a proof of English proficiency at the Immigration departments unlike IELTS Standard which is not accepted by the UK Visa offices What is the difference? The differences are only in the security features attached to the UKVI IELTS. It is not possible for one to forge the IELTS results certificate. There is no difference in terms of exam content, candidates for the two categories will be sitting in the same exam room doing the same exam with everything the same. Other differences 1. Price UKVI IELTS - Kshs. 26,600 IELTS Standard - Kshs. 23,660 2. Test Format UKVI IELTS - Only Paper Based format IELTS Standard - Available in both Paper Based and Computer Based formats 3. Exam Venue UKVI IELTS - Only in Nairobi IELTS Standard - Available in both Nairobi and Eldoret
For those who registered with NMC and even have gone ahead to do CBT Exam, you realise that NMC accepts IELTS Standard. The issue will only come up when you apply for a UK VISA, you will be required to submit UKVI IELTS. That means you will have to sit for UKVI IELTS, and now you will pay Ksh. 26,600.........Money wasting and remember if you are advised to book UKVI IELTS a month earlier and wait for 13 more days for the results...........Time wasting. To avoid all that, just book UKVI IELTS instead of IELTS Standard
Wish I knew before, i already booked standard IELTS
