Kenyan Nurses no longer need work experience to register in the UK

Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of the UK no longer requires Nurses from Kenya to have 12 Months (1 Year) experience as it used to be.

Any Nurse from Kenya who is in possession of the Nursing Council of Kenya license is eligible to apply and register as a Nurse in the UK.

What does this mean to our brothers and sisters who just finished their NCK exam?

It is actually a golden opportunity for them since they have a chance to be employed in the UK immediately they are issued with the NCK license. I recommend that you start thinking of IELTS as you await your results in June, please use the Month of May to prepare for IELTS and book for the IELTS exam so that immediately you are issued with the NCK license you will be in a position to apply and register in the UK as a nurse.

The BSCNs and INTERNS

To the BScN Interns, from the recent nursing job adverts in Kenya, it is now clear that counties are no longer employing Degree nurses. Instead of crying around and getting unionised please use that time while on internship to prepare and book IELTS and CBT exams, immediately you finish your internship just WhatsApp me. I will guide you through NMC registration for free
